  4. PLEASE READ THIS TEXT IN ITS ENTIRETY AS IT CONTAINS
  5. IMPROTANT INFORMATION ON PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS AND ON
  6. INSTALLATION PROCEDURES.

  8. Thank-you for taking a look at the second edition of
  9. "The OS/2 Gamer's Guide". This program is meant to
  10. be an easy to use tool in getting your DOS games
  11. working their best under OS/2.
  12.  
  13. The program is very straight forward in it's design
  14. and therefore should be extremely easy to use.
  15.  
  16. I hope to be able to release updates at regular
  17. intervals in order to keep the contents of the guide
  18. as up-to-date as possible and thereby support the
  19. newest games. My initial idea is to do this on a
  20. bi-monthly basis, but please comment if you think
  21. otherwise.

  23. Finally, this program is freeware but I would
  24. appreciate a comment if you use the software. The
  25. program, and the installation routine, were both
  26. written entirely using VX-REXX v2.0c from Watcom. As
  27. a result it requires you to have a copy of the VX-REXX
  28. runtime library, VROBJ.DLL. This can be found on
  29. numerous OS/2 FTP sites including ftp-os2.cdrom.com,
  30. ftp.nmsu.edu and rexx.uwaterloo.ca.

  32. The easiest and most reliable site is rexx.uwaterloo.ca.
  33. You can find the DLL file in the pub/os2/vxrexx
  34. directory. Either VROBJ20C.ZIP or VROBJ21C.ZIP will
  35. do the job but you should probably grab 2.1 as it is
  36. the newest.
